Textiles are a priority area under the ESPR work programme, but product-specific DPP requirements must not be presented as final until the applicable measures are adopted. Bangladesh suppliers can strengthen data and evidence foundations now.
Map the data chain behind an apparel product
- Customer style and SKU identifiers
- Bill-of-material and component relationships
- Tier-one supplier and production-facility relationships
- Upstream supplier information where the verified requirement or customer scope needs it
- Batch, lot or production-order traceability decisions
- Evidence with issuer, date, validity, scope, source and version
Standardise brand and buyer requests
Repeated spreadsheets and email attachments create definition, version and provenance risks. Establish controlled field definitions, accepted formats, responsible owners, due dates, validation and escalation across customer programmes.
Avoid unsupported compliance claims
A certificate, audit, QR code or platform record should never be marketed as proof that an apparel product satisfies future DPP measures unless the applicable law, scope and conformity method have been verified.
Primary and authoritative sources
